Jersey Hospice Care is looking for a Lead Nurse to join our In Patient Unit on an interim basis, for 12 months on a Fixed-Term Contract.

The postholder will provide clinical leadership to the Senior Nurse of the In Patient Unit and Quality Assurance to ensure the delivery of the highest possible quality of specialist palliative care across Jersey Hospice Care and will work collaboratively with the Senior Clinical Leadership Team.

The postholder will also manage and oversee the services in the In Patient Unit & Quality Assurance and all professional colleagues, including administration personnel within the team. They will co-ordinate the Multi-disciplinary Team creating a supportive network for efficient practice and learning with a focus on quality assured patient and family centred care.

The ideal candidate will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), hold a full Master’s degree in management or a relevant subject, and have substantial post-registration experience. Palliative care experience is also essential.
