Jersey Hospice Care is looking for a permanent Quality Assurance Nurse.

The postholder will provide professional leadership for the nursing workforce, promoting the highest standards and innovation; as well as developing a culture of continual practice development that is supported by education, training, appraisal, clinical supervision, research, audit and the broader quality agenda.

Reporting to the Lead Nurse Inpatient Unit and Quality Assurance, the post holder will have delegated responsibility for clinical quality and governance for Jersey Hospice Care, ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe, effective, responsive, caring, and well-led patient care.

As a member of the senior clinical management team, the post holder will contribute to Jersey Hospice’s Care strategic agenda by providing strong clinical leadership whilst demonstrating care, kindness, compassion and respect for patients, their families, and their colleagues.   They will report on all areas of responsibility and act as a positive role model who promotes excellence.

A key responsibility will be focused on embedding a quality improvement culture at hospice and have responsibility for ensuring that all clinical services comply with Jersey Nursing Assessment Accreditation System (JNAAS), Jersey Care Commission (JCC) regulatory and legislative standards.

The ideal candidate will be a Band 6 registered Nurse with current registration status, professional education or qualifications related to specialist palliative care or related field and hold evidence of continuing professional development (CPD), with an up-to-date personal portfolio.
