First Ever Half Marathon – George Dozsa -Sponsorship Page

Hello you,

Thank you very much for reading my lines below.

I have lost my stepdad to cancer myself and he could have another 30-40 years easy if he didn’t have to go through the pain and the struggle over his treatment. He was healthy in all his life until he has been diagnosed with this fatal disease.
He had to deal with this in a different country not here on Jersey, but don’t think it would make much of a difference I am afraid.
A good friend of mine had to go through something similar like I did and I hope he won’t mind me mentioning it.
He had his sister looked after by the lovely and caring people from Jersey Hospice. Always spoke highly of them and the treatment and the care she received day in day out while she put up a fight every day.

I am doing the run purely to support these lovely people who are trying to help, ease the daily pain and look after our loved ones every day.

If you feel the same way as I do, please donate whatever you think it is appropriate so we together could add something to the pot which could make a difference for those who have to put up a fight.

Rest in peace for all those who we lost and massive thanks to those who are helping our loved ones!

Good luck George, great cause and a touching story too.

Recently done some charity work with Hospice & sadly my gran passed away here when I was 10 so I know the feeling.

Good luck mate 🙂
